Emmanuelle Escourrou is a French actress and screenwriter, born in 1969 in Montpellier. She grew up in Camargue and began her acting career at an early age, taking her first theater lessons with "La Comédie du Talagard" at the age of 12. She later studied at the prestigious Cours Florent in Paris, where she was taught by Francis Huster and others. Escourrou is best known for her role in the 1990 horror film "Baby Blood," directed by Alain Robak, where she played the character Yanka, a performance that earned her the Michel Simon Award. She has appeared in numerous films and television shows throughout her career, including "Ma vie est un enfer," "Portrait chinois," "L'Empire des loups," and the TV series "Marseille" on Netflix. In addition to acting, she has explored writing and directing, having written and starred in the film "Lady Blood," a sequel to "Baby Blood"
